Steven "Steve-O" Matthew Sheets

Steven Matthew Sheets, Age 31, of Burns Harbor, Indiana passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 in Huntsville, Texas. He was born April 14, 1993 in Hammond, Indiana. He was the cherished son of Susan (Sheets) Boucher. 

Steven had a beautiful, compassionate soul. He was full of peace and love and had a heart of gold. He was selfless, always helping anyone in need. Steven was a blessing in all our lives and touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. He loved God and Jesus Christ and was proud to be an ordained minister.

Steven loved spending time with family, friends and his beloved dog Buddy Sheets, who went everywhere with him. He liked playing cards, dice, and darts. He appreciated beautiful flowers, nature and good campfires. Steven had a passion for music and loved listening to his vinyl record collection. He also enjoyed drawing art and getting tattoos that he often designed himself. His favorite was his “Mom” tattoo. 

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Susan and Kevin Boucher; brother Joshua Appleton; sister Amber Heath; brother-in-law Dylan Heath Sr.; nieces Addy, Raven, and Ellie; nephew Dylan Jr.; best friend Kevin Lynch; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Steven Farley, a father figure who he was named after.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Milton Augustine Sheets III and Carolyn Ruth Davis; aunt Janice Marie Kirkland; cousin Brian Michael Sheets. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Black Oak Baptist Church 6502 W 25th Avenue, Gary, Indiana 46406. Pastor Bob Parnell will be officiating.
