Scott Craig, born on July 8th, 1961, passed away on June 25, 2026, at the age of 64.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Haverda Craig and father, John Finlayson Craig. He is survived by his sister, Lisa Craig, his uncle, David Craig, and stepmother, Lynda Nasca Craig and his cousin, Matthew Mawhinney. Scott loved music at the age of 12. He first loved the artist Elton John with his song titled, “Candle in the Wind”. Scott soon after became a fan of the rock group Kiss. He followed their concert tours locally for many years. At the age of 12 Scott also developed a talent for drafting model homes. He graduated from EBHS and then moved to Houston, TX. He held many professional jobs there, including drafting for Marathon Oil, and he also worked for a prestigious downtown Houston law firm.
When Scott returned to his hometown of East Bernard he landed a job at the FT. Bend Herald, whereby he wrote a front-page article on Nostalgia. Thereafter he held management positions until he retired in 2023. Scott loved music, neon lights, fireworks, and design since his early childhood. He worked hard and was very disciplined and responsible. He had a caring and nurturing heart for his friends and family; he loved and had a need to rescue and save animals.
We all miss him and Scott was loved by many.
