Jared Joseph Hubenak

Jared Joseph Hubenak, age 31, of Wharton, Texas passed away on February 24, 2026, in Houston after a lifelong and difficult battle with mental illness. He was born on December 7, 1994 to Douglas and Samantha Hubenak.

Jared enjoyed the outdoors, including horse riding, hunting, and fishing. Jared was fun-loving and treasured his time with his nieces and nephews. He had a deep appreciation for his family, friends, and caregivers who encouraged him through the years.

His family is proud of the hard work he put in to fight his illness. Jared had a big heart and always put others before himself. His last act of kindness was bringing life to others through organ donation.

Jared is preceded in death by his, grandfathers, Bennie Konvicka and Bill Hubenak.

Jared is survived by his loving parents, Douglas and Samantha Hubenak; sister, Jamie Feyen and husband, Matthew; brother, Jason Hubenak and wife, Allison; nieces, Mayci Hubenak and Brynn Feyen; nephews, Braley Feyen, Weston Hubenak, and Barrett Feyen; grandmothers, Helen Konvicka and Alene Hubenak. Along with numerous other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jared's name to Holy Family Church or Victory in Jesus of Wharton, Texas.

The family will have a private Funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church and burial at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Wharton.
