Donald Steven Clifton

Donald Steven Clifton (Steven), 68, of Wharton, Texas, entered Heaven on February 6, 2026.

Steven was born in Houston, Texas to Donald & Dorothy Clifton on November 29, 1957. He attended Waltrip High School and later graduated from The University of Houston with a Bachelor's in Accounting. Steven and Dawn met on a blind date and went to a Randy Travis concert. Steven married Dawn on November 23, 1991 in East Bernard, Texas at The First United Methodist Church and spent 34 wonderful years happily married. Steven and Dawn made their home in East Bernard, Texas and raised 5 boys.

Steven enjoyed attending Texas Cowboy Church and had a deep passion for his kids, grandkids, Astros baseball, music, and sneaking bites of anything with sugar in it. He also loved and enjoyed spending time with Colt, the family beagle.

Steven is preceded in death by his father Donald Clifton and mother-in-law Lynda Schneider.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Clifton, his five sons Garrett (Alyssa), Christopher (CJ) (Vusala), Matthew (Sheila), Andrew (Jacey), and Zac Clifton, his siblings Janet Shell, Gary Clifton, and Carlton Clifton, and his grandchildren Thomas Clifton, Everly Clifton, Stormi Clifton, Camilla Clifton, and Lane Clifton.

Service Information

• Visitation: Will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Stone Creek Funeral Home, 775 Dill St, East Bernard, TX 77435.
• Celebration of Life : Will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Texas Cowboy Church, 15404, FM 1489, Rosenberg, TX, 77471.
• Burial: To follow at Czech National Cemetery, County Road 291, East Bernard, Texas.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Texas Cowboy Church.
