Benjamin "Bennie" Michulka

Benjamin “Bennie” Charles Michulka, 81, was born in East Bernard, Texas, to Karel Cyril (KC) and Elizabeth (David) Miculka, and passed away on January 26, 2026, in Austin, Texas.

Bennie was a lifelong resident of East Bernard, Texas, where he was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the KJT, of which he belonged for more than 75 years. He had a long career as a heating-and-air-conditioning serviceman in and around the Houston area, including his hometown of East Bernard.

Bennie was a loving father, devoted PawPaw, little brother, caring uncle, and loyal friend. He loved spending time with his family and was extremely proud of his Red Raider and Aggie granddaughters. He enjoyed fishing on the coast, hunting, watching Brahma football games and Houston Astros baseball games, hanging out with his buddies, and of course playing the Texas Lotto. When he was not tinkering around the farm or riding his 4-wheeler a little too fast, he might be found laughing and reminiscing as he watched Hopalong Cassidy, The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke, or any other old westerns on TV.

Bennie is preceded in death by his parents, KC and Elizabeth Miculka, and his brother, Sylvester J. Michulka.

He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kris Linenberger, and beloved granddaughters Ellie and Maggie Linenberger. He is also fondly remembered by his nephew and godson Matt Michulka (and wife Tina), great-nephew Austen Michulka, niece Michele Pettigrew (and husband Gregory), great-nephew Jack Delmar (and wife Lauralea), and sister-in-law Frances Michulka-Macha (and husband Gerald).

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 8:30 am, rosary at 9:30 am, followed by Mass at 10:00 am. All services will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 839 Church St, East Bernard, Texas, 77435.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard.
